Side A: A Summer Day

Summer is almost over, and Ah-Fei still hasn’t completed his audio homework, “My Day.” In a last-minute attempt to fix it, he asks his mother to help him recreate a perfect day from their vacation. Determined to make the recording sound cheerful and fulfilling, Ah-Fei carefully redoes every detail. As the cassette tape unspools, a different story begins to surface—one that Ah-Fei never heard, hidden beneath the version of events he tried so hard to perfect.
