In Manzhouli, a city north of north, there was a male sex worker. Another Chinese New Year was approaching, but his life was still stretched to the limit. He returned his hometown before the Spring Festival, faking a decent career and life in front of his remaining family. He got along well with them, however, never reconciled with his own heart. In the white wilderness of the north, he made an irrevocable choice...The film is almost devoid of dialogue, relying entirely on visual language to communicate with the audience. It abandons the mainstream visual expression of actively conveying information to the audience. Instead, it uses documentary-style filming to record the reality of the environment without fiction and calmly captures the main character's state of mind through one fixed long shot after another, breaking the conventional narrative method.
