"One More Chance" is a short film for teenagers, directed by Wu Hanmo. The film tells the story of a girl who is persecuted by her mother when she is sent to a behavior correction college because she is addicted to the Internet and does not study well. The girl suffered inhuman abuse such as captivity and electric shocks here, and a sudden phone call from her mother gave her hope to leave. But what followed was a nightmare. In the reception room, the daughter sees her long-lost mother, and what greets her is not light, but an endless abyss.

“One More Chance” is based on real events, focusing on social reality, and presenting the other side of the juvenile behavior correction center truly and figuratively. The unique feature of this short film is that the Xiajiang Academy, where the story takes place, is a correction center that is referenced by real events (the Yuzhang Academy case and the Yang Yongxin electric shock case). There have been electric shocks, captivity, torture, but these are only the tip of the iceberg, and the reality is often worse than imagined. The film is based on these two typical cases to extend, with a strong audio-visual language to transform the story, want to express not only to criticize these seemingly righteous, but actually cheat parents, abuse students illegal school administrators, but also to call more people to pay attention to the impact of the family of origin on the growth of teenagers.
