A diary of a Chinese female country pastor. There are only a few scenes in the film, and its narrative time is within one day.Its depiction is disjointed. Its temper is steep. The internal conflict plot of the film, is Xiaoyang’s private life in the Christian context. As the director of the village church, she asks herself to be the model of the believers to an extent, but her husband hesitates to be a novice and get baptized. Her wedding ceremony which seems impossible to be held in a church, her developing pregnancy…these construct a large amount of anxiety in her heart.Under the increasing anxiety in her heart, to process the baton with a cross, became the sacrament that the heroin has to take.Though in the case of the micro-bus driver, the baton is a weapon.Religion is concrete, is about a certain person, is under a kind of life situation, and is objectified. On these levels, religion gets an active life. The film is not for finding the religious senses in daily life, but for representing the daily materials of the religious life.
